- “We liked Confluence so much we set up a company dedicated to it - now we're using it for our website, intranet, everything! We're even using it as an online application framework!”
- Guy Fraser of Adaptavist
- “I remember trying them a while ago and not really getting it. Then I started working on uPortal, which uses both JIRA and Confluence, once I came to Chico and man are they kick-ass products!”
- Patrick Berry of CSU Chico
- “JIRA, and to a greater extent, Confluence are catching on like wildfire here at Johns Hopkins. In fact, I have become the "Atlassian Evangelist" and just demo'd both products to an awestruck group from the Johns Hopkins Hospital who have seen what we are doing with the products and are eager to do the same.”
- Geoffrey Corb of John Hopkins University
- “We're happy as clams with both Confluence and JIRA. Atlassian does grand work....hats off to all of you.”
- Pete Sirois of Jobster
- “Adoption within our enterprise has been epidemic.”
- Robert Sanders of EarthLink

- Robert H Christensen of Lockheed Martin
- “The immediate and enthusiastic responses from Atlassian on this trivial issue really say a lot about you and your company, and show why your products and those who make them are without rival! (and you can quote me!)”
- Steve Neil of University of Phoenix
- “We are finding Confluence extremely useful in our collaborative work with colleagues around the world.”
- Hart Weins
- “Confluence has taken hold in our organisation and is spreading like a wildfire across the dry Oklahoma prairie! Confluence has helped our team accomplish more in a few days than they would have in the next year!”
- Marty J. Riley of Gatesway Foundation
- “Your products are excellent... very well thought out and from joining the mailing lists, your support is excellent as well. Thank you!”
- David Ayre
- “Without JIRA and Confluence, we wouldn't be able to deliver as high a quality as we do. They are now core systems to everything we do. JIRA and Confluence rock!”
- Mark Johnson
- “We purchased confluence in mid-December and released our website last week. We are using it for all external web info as well as internal documentation and collaboration. We all love it and couldn't be happier with how easy it was to put together our new site. Thanks so much for an awesome product!!”
- CCR Staff at University at Buffalo
- “Atlassian is a pleasure to work with. JIRA and Confluence make our work much easier. Thanks for your quick reply.”
- Ellen Ball of Partners In Health
- “We really like your JIRA product, and use it on a daily basis for our development group (15), and store support (150 stores). Also, Confluence is the core of our corporate documentation. Good work!”
- Christopher Peterson of Sterling Shoes LP
- “We have recently started using Confluence and it has quickly become a core, critical part of our business. It works well in so many ways.”
- Matthew James of Shine Technologies
- “We use JIRA and Confluence at the office, and while I like JIRA, I love Confluence. Confluence is the best wiki SW I've ever used; I love it.”
- Joshua Marker of tty1.org
- “I'm a former F-16 pilot, with 15 years as a management consultant. The difference isn't so easy to capture in words, but the healthy, glint-in-the-eye, get-the-job-done style is there to see. JIRA and Confluence are tight where it counts, letting you play fast without cramping your style with unnecessary rigidity.”
- Donald Willard Garrett of Earth Vigil Trust
- “Our relationship management team is using Confluence for tracking meetings with the public, organizations and public officials. The ability to search Word documents and other comments Confluence for common issues got the most oooohhhhs. The aaaahhhs came from the ease of use and ability to access from outside our corporate network via the web.”
- Steve Terry
- “Confluence immediately lowered the entry level of technical expertise - allowing more people to use a knowledge management system. Any new tool requires some degree of training and guidance before staff catch on, but Confluence was so easy and intuitive that it took off in no time. It has been a great relief using Confluence; to get information in and out of our company system so quickly.”
- Paul Rene Jorgensen of Telenor

“We already have an email mailing list, etc, but we want something that lets us record info that can be changed and extended over time. A wiki, basically.
There are no reliable, easy to use, secured, and cheap Wiki servers that I've been able to locate, so I want to run my own. I've tried many other options, including SnipSnap, TikiWiki to name a couple, and none of them have all the bits I need. Some come close, but most fall down with either security or user-friendliness.
Confluence has both, and it also has Spaces, which happen to fit what I need perfectly (regular page names will work, but they get really long after a short while).” - David Peterson of Randombits

“We wanted something we could easily extend. We'd used other wikis in the past with varying degrees of success. This time we wanted something with permissioning, and something that was polished and secure. Confluence met all of these needs.
Productivity has definitely increased. It's great to know that there is one central place to go and find or add to materials. We have been able to open up the wiki to people who wouldn't have interacted with us previously.” - Turadg Aleahmad of TELS Center, University of California at Berkeley

“JIRA has long been recognised as a cornerstone tool of our business, but we were surprised at just how fast Confluence has equalled JIRA's importance. One of the most important aspects was the willingness of all staff to use Confluence to capture knowledge - the general consensus was that the process was addictive.
And by lowering the barriers to knowledge capture, Confluence has significantly increased our ability to retain and manage that elusive asset known as knowledge capital. We now have a pretty simple rule for products from Atlassian - if they've built it, we'll buy it.” - Adam Kierce of Shine Technologies
- “Our company is in the Software Engineering and Consulting Business, so the knowledge in our company is our major asset. It was time to gather information about projects, processes, etc. and make it accessible for all our employees. I tested different approaches to practical knowledge management, like semantic web tools, using a normal CMS, Document Management, etc. We decided to go for Confluence, because of the simplicity to add and link knowledge, the User Management and the Java Base. It helps, that it is written completely in Java, since some essential features are missing (like a browser for inserting links). Our Programmers will be able to customize it for our needs. I tested your support recently, and it was quick and competent. :-)”
- Christian Saga of Eurospace IT

“Here is some feedback on why we bought Confluence....
- In a software company the more knowledge we make easily available to everyone (account managers, programmers, project managers) the less time we waste looking for it. Confluence allows us to share information easily and allow anyone to edit or comment on it. This builds the company and the individual's knowledge base. As result we could potentially exploit the knowledge base better than when it is locked up on everyone else's computer
- Confluence is about editing web pages which is much quicker than Word document changes. If we want a 'hard' copy we can export the page to PDF
- Since Confluence provides a basic hierarchy it is easy for anyone to find information. This means that customer queries can often be answered by the first person the customer makes contact with rather than the standard software response "I'm just the programmer, I don't know what was promised to the client" or "I'm just in sales, I'll have to find out the answer to that support question"
- By virtue of its Wiki nature, Confluence allows everyone to organically grow the 'content issue base' rather than the very structured and laborious form of traditional knowledge management which is normally a one-man show” - Rowan Brewer of Tutuka
- “Stellar support from Atlassian, as always!”
- Måns af Klercker of Tacton
- “Atlassian's support is fantastic, the service we have received has been first class, keep it up! ;) ”
- Jason Barr of Thawte Consulting
- “Thanks again for the feedback - I have never dealt with a company that really does deliver on support but the service is truly excellent.”
- Neil Kelly of Cognotec
- “I would like to congratulate your company. You are an example of business and I really appreciate your company's vision and products.”
- Jose Lopes Neto of Mastersaf Brazil
- “I look forward to a long relationship with Atlassian, you guys are inspirational - keep up the good work. I was recently in New York and proud to be able to heartily recommend you to Audium Corp... I hope that translated to an order ! (It did, thanks David! - Ed) Go Australian software developers !”
- David Varnes of Holly
- “I just went to this talk from the Thoughtworks CEO, and basically out of nowhere he praised JIRA, and Confluence and said how amazing a company Atlassian were.... very impressive since he didn't praise any other product or company. I just thought that you might want to know what other people are saying about you.... congratulations :) ”
- Angela Brungs
- “Information Architecture is hard. Confluence rewards people for creating a well structured document repository with the (children) tag. If you have used other wikis and find that they turn into a chaotic mess, you will love Confluence.”
- Peter Hill of Pacific Northwest Gigapop
