Check your inbox
For many of us, our email is the first thing we check when we sit down at the desk each morning. Confluence can deliver everything you need to know, right to your inbox.
You can subscribe to a daily newsletter that summarises what's changed in the last 24 hours. In addition, you can 'watch' individual pages or entire spaces and be notified by mail every time they are changed.
Usage example: The SOX project manager watches the 'Weekly Meeting Agenda' page so he knows whenever anyone adds a new agenda item.
Subscribe to an RSS feed
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) lets websites inform their readers, or other websites, of new and updated content. RSS is produced by news sites, weblogs, wikis and other tools that need to publish timely information — including Confluence.
Confluence's RSS feeds keep you informed of new and modified content:
- pages
- blogs/news items
- file attachments
- email and comments from readers
Using the Confluence RSS Feed Builder, you can easily pick the type of content and the spaces that you are interested in. You can even use labels to refine your feed.
Usage example: The CFO subscribes to an RSS feed to tell her about new and changed content in the Finance space — but only if it is labelled 'urgent'.
