Network Computing Well-Connected Award (2006)
After being selected by the editors at Network Computing for being the best commercial wiki, Confluence went on to win the annual Well-Connected Award for outstanding business technology.
As explained by John Siefert, Publisher of Network Computing:
“The Well-Connected Awards are unique because they're the only industry awards given by technologists based on real-world use and integration. We view all products, technologies and services from the same perspective as our readers — our peers — do. This is an important distinction from any other award program — the products selected in the Well-Connected Awards have been tested in an actual business environment and judged by our editors themselves. They are truly innovative solutions that work — and we have the metrics to prove it.”

Network Computing Editor's Pick (2006)
Confluence was Network Computing's pick for best commercial wiki in 2006.
“Our Editor's Choice, Atlassian's Confluence 2.1.2, has all the features that suit an enterprise wiki. It's easy to install and set up, yet flexible and extensible. It supports user and group access controls down to the page level. The price is reasonable, and, most important, the software doesn't demand extensive training or users with degrees in rocket science.”
The article went on to summarize that Confluence “has it all: good pricing, security, extensibility and customizability.”
